A great task for the last week of christmas term. Pupils will need to design a new sleigh for santa following the specification points that have been included.

A nice little extension task for the last week of term, there are a few design technology words to keep it subject relevant :)

2 x A3 Revision worksheets for AQA Design and Technology linked to Section C of the exam. These particular worksheets are focussed on “Investigating”. These revision worksheets can be completed independently using the links to BBC Bitesize provided at the top of each section.

A worksheet allowing pupils to practice enlarging a drawing of a cordless drill. Once enlarged they can add colour shading/rendering to make it look as realistic as possible. This can work as a standalone task, extension task or even a cover lesson if required.

A worksheet for pupils to practice adding a realistic wood texture to 3D shapes. There is an example also attached.

A simple drawing and scaling task where pupils will enlarge a drawing of a glue gun. They will need to do this as accurately as possible and add colour shading to make it look as realistic as possible.

A Re-Design task based on the design company Alessi. Pupils will need to redesign the products on the worksheet in the style of Alessi these include a: Hairdryer, Radio, Clock, Cutlery Set, Pizza Cutter and Potato Masher. Ideal for a follow up lesson on Alessi or a cover lesson.

A design task based on a portable speaker. This is ideal as a one off lesson or as a simple cover lesson.

A Desk Tidy Design Task. This is ideal as a one off lesson or as a simple cover lesson.

A mini assessment based on wood joining methods, also includes an isometric drawing task.

A powerpoint for a lesson where pupils will need to design their own pizza and box. This is great for a single lesson or a cover lesson if required. The powerpoint contains all the things that the pupils will need to think of when designing their pizza and an example at the end.

A worksheet for different drawing techniques (Isometric, Freehand, 1pp, 2pp) This could be completed as an initial assessment or as a progress check.

A research task based on different workshop tools and equipment. This can be completed as a one off lesson or as a simple and easy cover lesson.

A simple worksheet where pupils can design their own Blu Ray or video game cover. This is great for a single lesson or a cover lesson.

A starting point for analysing a client for a particular project. This can be edited to suit a particular project or product if required.

A mini assessment that can be used with KS3 design and technology pupils about the early part of the design process. This assessment is useful either at the start of a project to check what they know already, or to use at the end of a project to check their progress and understanding. The questions layout etc can be edited if needed as it is a word document.

A task where pupils can design a poster for either a Tenon Saw or a Coping Saw (Two commonly used pieces of equipment in school). This can be done as an extension task or as a simple cover lesson.
